Music for Everyone

LoxFest aims to offer music for everyone and 2019 will be no exception. We will again be incorporating a second acoustic stage within the Beer Marquee! This will be a chance for local and up-and-coming artists to showcase their talent between the acts on the main stage. We promise a great experience, whether you choose to enjoy the vibes from one of our straw bales, your own picnic chair or join the dancers in front of the stage!

A soul rock band hailing from the south east of England. Their music blends influences of seminal rock artists David Bowie and Bruce Springsteen with those of soul legends like Sam Cooke and Aretha Franklin, adding several nods to the funk of Kool and the Gang.

The result is a mix of compositions with real feeling and energy in a style comparable to Vintage Trouble, an LA band who have made waves worldwide since their debut album at the beginning of this decade. The band is about groove, songs that make you move, with a big lead vocal delivered with the gritty growl of Sam Clayton.

2019 sees the band's first release into the public domain. Follow them on social media platforms to keep up with news of this exciting band giving a rare live performance at LoxFest '19.

Groove Hoover

17:05

Groove Hoover began in early 2017, where three like-minded musicians got together to informally perform the music they loved. Sharing a common passion for the sounds of the 60's, 70's and 80's rock bands, for example Eagles, Thin Lizzy, and Led Zeppelin and Groove Hoover was formed in Summer 2017. Adding two more guitars, and a keyboard to the existing line up of bass, drums, guitar and vocals meant the band were able to perform the complex vocal and guitar harmonies made famous by the aforementioned bands and artists. Groove Hoover's ethos is simple; Good music, played well.

Between its members, Groove Hoover has played some of the most prestigious venues in the country, such as The Royal Albert Hall, The Minnack Theatre, the Houses of Parliament and Sunday Night at The London Palladium. Members have and still do tour nationally, performing at venues such as Concorde 2, The Komedia, and O2 Islington Academy, sharing the stage with the artists that helped shape them.
